This bike itinerary includes the discovery of the 2 UNESCO sites of the Gargano, supported by an expert guide.
It is a totally flexible and customizable program.

– Day 1

Shuttle service to arrive on the Gargano, luggage delivery to Monte Sant’Angelo (UNESCO site) and afternoon tour of Bosco Quarto, Sitizzo valley with return to Monte Sant’Angelo.

– Day 2

Route of the Monte Sant’Angelo – Manfredonia – Mattinata route with stay in Mattinata.
The route is panoramic and reaches numerous coves, as well as allowing a visit to the Daunian necropolis of Monte Saraceno.

– Day 3

It is a coast with breathtaking panoramic views, stacks, not to be missed.

Discovering the Gargano coast

The overnight stay is in Vieste, the pearl of the Gargano, famous for the trabucchi, the giants on the sea.
Trabucchi are ancient fishing machines, still functioning today.
You can decide to take part in a fishing trip if you want.

– Day 4

Route of the Vieste, Peschici and Lake Varano section.
It is a day of “coastal cycling” in which you visit Peschici, Rodi Garganico and Lake Varano, famous for the cultivation of mussels including the famous San Michele oysters.

– Day 5

Route of the section from Cagnano Varano to the Umbra Forest.
This is a stage with continuous ups and downs. In the middle of the route you will enter the Umbra Forest, whose name derives from shadow. Discover the Umbra Forest (click here).

– Day 6

After staying in Foresta Umbra, we will set off to discover this green lung of Puglia.

It is a UNESCO site forest, dominated by beech forests up to 50 meters high.
The day ends in Monte Sant’Angelo where there will be transport of luggage and overnight stay.

Visit to Monte Sant’Angelo (UNESCO site).
The seventh day may include a shuttle and a view of Castel del Monte (UNESCO site) and then continue to Bari airport

The tour can depart from/to Foggia airport or from other points, all with maximum flexibility.

This is just one example of the many tours that can be built together, starting from the customer’s requests.
It will be possible to organize road tours and mixed routes on dirt roads and/or beaten paths.
