The tour begins with a visit to Monte Sant'Angelo and its characteristic Basilica of San Michele (UNESCO heritage).
The Basilica of Monte Sant'Angelo located in a cave, hides incredible secrets.
We will visit together the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Maggiore admiring its Byzantine frescoes, counted among the oldest in the entire region and the Sanctuary dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel built on the natural cave (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011): it is the Oldest sanctuary dedicated to the Archangel in all western Europe.
The visit will continue with a pleasant walk through the white alleys of the historic center where you will have the opportunity to get to know one of the famous sammecalere, a local craftsman who still today carves, using local stone, with the utmost precision statuettes depicting the patron saint.
A visit to the workshop of the local artisan Palena is planned, whose works in stone, wood and leather are appreciated by visitors and onlookers who come here from anywhere. An ancient craft that carries on with passion,
the same that feeds on its land and its origins.
The third stage and heart of our visit concerns the Basilica of S. Michele Arcangelo, after having faced a real journey through the centuries from the first appearance of the Saint (5th century) to the present day.
It will be time to make a very welcome gastronomic break: a delicious tasting of local products awaits you, from cheeses to typical stuffed hosts, without missing an excellent Gargano liqueur .. Salute!

- 10 Walk in the Rione Junno, millennial district
- 11 Guided tour of the Basilica of San Michele and its two sacred caves
- 12 Tasting of typical products
